After footage of a brutal club fight went viral, Chrisean Rock says she tried to avoid the confrontation.

A street fight has pushed Chrisean Rock back into a familiar conversation about violence and accountability. After footage showed her overpowering another woman outside a club, Rock returned to social media with an explanation of what she says led to the confrontation. She insists she tried to avoid the fight and only reacted once the other woman made the first move.

The altercation surfaced after a chaotic night connected to the baby shower for Blueface and his pregnant girlfriend, Nevaeh Akira. Videos circulating online showed Blueface and Rock together later that evening before another confrontation broke out outside a nightclub. According to Rock, she and Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, became separated in the crowd as several women approached her.

“Me and Johnathan ended up separating by accident. We didn’t really separate. Something happened, and it was just whatever,” she said. “So, Jonathan was distracted, and like, four girls started walking up on me.”

Chrisean Details What Led Up To The Fight

Rock said she asked someone with her to pay attention because she believed the women might be looking for trouble. “My hands are registered. I want no beef. I don’t know what’s going on,” she recalled saying. She claims one woman then made it clear that she wanted to fight. “I said, ‘Girl, I don’t even know you,’” Rock continued. “So, it was just random people. Strangers. People I don’t know specifically. She got into it with some homies or whatever, and she wanted to take it out on me.”

Moreover, Rock says people around the woman also tried to discourage the confrontation. She claims she issued a warning of her own before the situation turned physical. Once it did, she said her boxing instincts took over. “Am I proud of that? No, but I’m not finna be bullied,” Rock said of the street fight. “It’s a friendly fade.”

The rapper also argued that the other woman initiated the physical contact. “She can’t even press charges if she wanted to because she hit first. She wanted it. It was so bad. She really wanted it.” Rock’s statement reflects her own interpretation of what happened and should not be taken as a legal determination about whether anyone involved could pursue charges.

The regret has not convinced everyone watching the fallout. Some critics have pointed to what they see as a recurring pattern in Rock’s public life, where violent confrontations are followed by expressions of remorse and renewed discussion of her Christian faith. Rock has made religion a much more visible part of her public identity in recent years, often speaking about wanting to change how she lives and how she handles conflict.

"Me and Jonathan ended up separating by accident. We didn't realy separate. Something happened and it was just whatever. So, Jonathan was distracted, and like, four girls started walking up on me," said Rock. She said she called on a friend to survey the scene and see that there were women possibly looking for a confrontation. "My hands are registered. I want no beef. I don't know what's going on." Rock claims the woman suggested that she wanted to fight. "I said, 'Girl, I don't even know you.' So, it was just random people. Strangers. People I don't know specifically. She got into it with some homies or whatever, and she wanted to take it out on me."

Rock added that she gave the woman a "fair warning" not to fight her. She said other people who knew the woman told her to fall back and not instigate the situation. Yet, the woman wanted to press Rock, so Rock said she immedaitely leaned onto her boxing training. "Am I proud of that? No, but I'm not finna be bullied. It's a friendly fade... She can't even press charges if she wanted to because she hit first. She wanted it. It was so bad. She really wanted it."
