Ray Daniels was recently on his podcast, where he revealed the latest development concerning JAŸ-Z and his new album.

JAŸ-Z has been having a monster year. The artist is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. If you remember, the iconic nature of these albums was on full display during his three Yankee Stadium shows.

In the coming weeks and months, Hov will be performing in France, England, and Los Angeles. All of this has fans believing an album is on the way. Furthermore, he had Beyoncé shave his hair, which also suggests the album is coming.

Recently, we got a verse from JAŸ-Z on the remix to Beyoncé's "Morning Dew." This led to further speculation about Hov's creative endeavors. It's been nine years since the release of 4:44, and fans clearly want something new.

According to Ray Daniels, fans can stop speculating. The album is, indeed, done. However, there is one thing that is currently keeping the music mogul from dropping.

JAŸ-Z Is Waiting To Drop

JAŸ-Z reportedly wants a partnership. If he can't find a partner to drop his album, then he's not going to do it. Daniels did not dive deeper into the nature of the deal. Instead, he simply hinted that Hov would likely be looking for some sort of exclusivity rights or maybe even a large advance.

Daniels also noted that someone close to JAŸ-Z confirmed all of this to him in a phone call. Daniels had previously speculated about Hov's intentions of dropping an album. Those speculations were eventually confirmed, leading to his comments from over the weekend.

A JAŸ-Z album would be the perfect way to round out 2026. However, fans are going to have to be patient. Hov himself has not confirmed anything, and there are still five months left in the year. That said, it's clear that some exciting developments are on the horizon.
