Jordan Brand has set November 28th, 2026 as the official release date for the Air Jordan 4 "Bred." That's the Saturday after Thanksgiving, right in the middle of holiday shopping season.
Pairs will be available through Nike SNKRS, Nike.com, and select retailers including Foot Locker, Finish Line, JD Sports, Hibbett, and DSG.
An early unboxing video has surfaced this week, giving the clearest look yet at what's coming. The pair shown lines up with what earlier reports predicted. Black covers the upper, replacing the smoother leather used on the 2024 "Reimagined" version.
White runs along the edges, a detail that's been missing from recent retros. Nike Air branding sits on the heel tab, restoring a feature fans have wanted back. Grey and red accents hit the usual spots across the eyelets, midsole, and outsole.
Early word also points to the classic Michael Jordan face box making a return for packaging. That box hasn't shown up on a Bred 4 release in years, and it's a small detail that matters a lot to longtime collectors. Nothing here has been confirmed directly by Jordan Brand yet, but the pair shown in the video matches what multiple sources have reported.

The "Bred" colorway goes back to 1989, one of the original four Air Jordan 4 releases. Michael Jordan wore it during that year's All-Star Game in Houston. It's stayed one of the most requested colorways ever since, with retros in 1999, 2008, 2012, and 2019.
The 2024 "Reimagined" version split opinion. It swapped the nubuck for leather and skipped the white edging, which some fans felt strayed too far from the original. This 2026 pair looks built to correct that. Reports point to a slimmer toe shape and tighter overall proportions, closer to what shipped in 1989 than any retro since.
Jordan Brand has leaned hard into these true-to-OG builds this year, and the "Bred" 4 fits that pattern. If the leaked pair holds up, this could end up the most accurate version since the original drop. More updates should land as November gets closer.
