DRAM is a big fan of Christmas music, as he proved on his new EP #1HappyHoliday, which featured two original songs as well as take on the classic "Silver Bells." Friday night, the Hampton, Virginia singer brought the cover to Fallon with a very special guest, BigBabyMom, otherwise known as DRAM's mother, who also appears on the recorded version.
The perfectly harmonized duet gave off the impression that singing has been something that's been a part of DRAM's family dynamic his whole life, and "Silver Bells" may very well be something they've been performing in their house for years. In a 2014 interview with Noisey, DRAM spoke of the role music played in his household. “I sang on the choir. My mom had a little gospel group when I was growing up too," he said. "But outside of church, I was just on soul music heavy. People like Al Green, or those songs that you automatically know but never know whose song it is.”

Earlier this month, DRAM released the deluxe edition of his 2016 debut BigBabyDRAM with 8 additional tracks. It features guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Trippie Redd, A$AP Rocky and Juicy J. He also recently changed his stage name from D.R.A.M. to DRAM. The name is an acronym for "Does Real Ass Music."
