TM88 has announced via Twitter that he signed with Capitol Records. The tweet alludes to the deal being cemented some time ago, but for reasons unknown, has only been officially stamped as of today. TM88 is a core member of 808 mafia, a production group responsible for Atlanta's trap sound at the beginning of the decade. TM88 has welded projects together with Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, and Larry June, and has made piecemeal contributions to just about everything spanning that distance of time.

TM88 also took a moment to announce an album being in the works, likely associated with his recording contract at Capitol. If you recall, TM88 was at the center of controversy after rumors surfaced of him not receiving payment from Atlantic Records for producing Lil Uzi Vert's platinum hit "XO Tour Llif3." Since then, a series of moratorium have been implemented by hip hop producers looking warn fellow practitioners against shady industry practices. Metro Boomin for one, warned his peers against publishing deals and the restrictive provisos contained in their writing. By all accounts, TM88 did his due diligence when signing his current deal, especially after all he's been through.
