Quavo is projected to land the #2 album of the week with "Quavo Huncho."
It’s looking like Quavo is going to come up a bit short of landing a #1 album by himself. According to Hits Double Daily, the Migos’ frontman’s debut solo effort, Quavo Huncho, is projected to sell anywhere between 100-110k copies in its opening week, with 5-7K coming from pure sales. Those numbers are expected to land Quavo wit the #2 album of the week, coming runner up to Lady Gaga-Bradley Cooper A Star is Born soundtrack, which is expected to move around 125K units in its second week out.
For what it’s worth, Migos’ latest album, Culture II, sold about 199K units, doubling what Quavo is expected to move this week. Meanwhile his joint effort with Travis Scott, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, moved only 90,000 units, which is the same ballpark as Quavo Huncho.
Despite the big named features on Quavo Huncho like Drake, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Cardi B, Offset, Lil Baby & others, fans were left a little unimpressed by the 19-track album. However the numbers don’t reflect that fans were at least giving it a listen.
In other album sales, Ella Mai’s debut album is projected to move 50-55k units this first week, which 13-15k of those coming from pure sales.
