Lil Baby and Drake’s collaborative “Yes Indeed” has officially climbed to the top spot on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking the third time that Drake has unseated himself for the No. 1 spot on the charts.
This week, the Wheezy-produced banger moves from No.3 to No. 1 after experiencing a 12 percent boost in plays this week as reported by Nielsen music, shifting “In My Feelings’ down to No. 2. Previously, Drake held the top rank consecutively as his “God’s Plan” held it down for nine weeks before Blocboy JB’s Drake–assisted “Look Alive” reigned for three weeks. Finally, “Nice For What” would climb to the top, staying there for nine weeks. This is now Drake’s 5th No. 1 of the year, tying with his 2011 and 2016 records for second-most No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart in a single calendar year.
Only Lil Wayne has topped the feat, claiming 6 back in 2011. Since the chart’s inception in 1993, only seven artists have ever claimed 4 or more No. 1 songs in a single year. Weezy and Drizzy are also joined in the company of Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, T-Pain, and Usher.
