One of the co-founders of one of music's leading collectives is reportedly being sued for sexual assault.
TMZ reports that A$AP Bari from the A$AP Mob is being sued by an unidentified woman going by Jane Doe where she alleges that on July 9th at a hotel in London, Bari burst into her room while she was sleeping and yelled, "You fucked my assistant, now you are going to fuck me."
Despite screaming no, Bari proceeded to pull the sheets off of her while in bed. The A$AP affiliate was with a friend and the whole incident was being filmed. In fact, the publication notes that the video made its way online but has been pulled from most websites. The victim claims she fled to the bathroom while Bari was still yelling, "I'm going to fuck you, you are going to suck my dick."
TMZ details that Jane was terrified she would be raped and begged Bari to set her free, but he proceeded to throw her out in the hallway naked. She contacted the hotel security and the police were called to the scene. Apparently they made Bari delete the video from his phone but clearly, it wasn't properly removed since it managed to make its way online after the fact.
The victim, who is represented by Marty Singer, believes Bari attacked her because she denied him at the club the night before. Bari's attorney apparently pressured Jane to release a joint statement saying the assault never happened. She declined to take the offer and is now suing Bari for $1 million.
Bari is yet another well-known figure to be accused of sexual misconduct. In the last few months alone Russell Simmons, Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Brett Ratner, Nelly, Steven Seagal, Peyton Manning, Mariah Carey and more have been possible suspects of inappropriate acts.
