Drake made history when he dropped the his latest single, "Nice For What," breaking Billboard records and bringing the hype for his upcoming Scorpion album to insane levels. The song features a prominent cut up vocal sample from Lauryn Hill's track "Ex-Factor," and it seems that Ms. Hill herself is showing some love for the track.

During a stop on her recently announced 20th Anniversary Tour of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Hill performed her own version of the track on stage, much to the delight of the crowd. Hill's musical output since her debut album has been scarce, at best, so any kind of new music from her is something to be grateful for.

Hill raps over her own vocal sample, in a weird sort of meta production, along with the assistance of her live band adding some extra punch to the Murda Beatz production. She delivers her own version of Drake's hook, flipping it to talk about how the original track sampled hers and that her music is classic, before going in on an original verse.

This isn't the first time in recent memory that someone has covered their own vocal sample on a Drake song. A the Time 100 Gala, Jennifer Lopez did a rendition of Drake's "Teenage Fever," which also leans heavily on a vocal sample from J. Lo.

If there's any justice in the world, Drake will somehow managed to get Lauryn Hill on the official "Nice For What" remix. Check out Lauryn Hill's cover of the track below.
