Waka Flocka Vs Lil Xan: Where Do You Stand On The "Ban?"

It seems as if the younger generation of up-and-coming rappers have yet to grasp one basic concept. If you disrespect your predecessors, particularly those who constitute as "legendary," you will be made a target. Lil Yachty previously elicited a heated response after calling the Notorious B.I.G. overrated, and now, Lil Xan is finding himself on the receiving end of some serious wrath. During an interview with Revolt TV, an extremely stoned Lil Xan ranked 2Pac Shakur a two on ten, calling his music boring. The interview immediately gained notoriety, and prompted heated responses from Waka Flocka Flame and T.I.

The former went so far as to "ban" Lil Xan from hip-hop, a motion which Tip publicly co-signed. "Pac help me get thru childhood!!! Shit hurt to see the youth disrespect man that paved the way for all of us literally," wrote Waka, on Twitter. "I hope nobody overlook me accomplishments when I leave." The backlash ultimately prompted Xan to announce a step-back from interviews; perhaps it's better to smoke copious amounts of weed after the interview is done. It's interesting to see young rappers so brazenly disrespect the pioneers of the genre. Still, Xan seems unfazed by the ban, promising he's not going anywhere.

Whether or not this "ban" will have any ramifications of Lil Xan's career is yet to be seen. Still, it has caused quite a stir in the hip-hop community, leading to many feeling obliged to throw in with one particular side. Do you feel like Xan's comments are out of line?
