Challace and Huc are getting ready to release their collaborative project Blood Under The Bridge, and they've shared a taste of the upcoming album with "Mobb Deep." As the title suggests, it's a tribute to the iconic Queensbridge duo from yet another Queensbridge duo, and features a guest appearance from Mobb's own Havoc. The track has the gritty feel of The Infamous and would surely make the late Prodigy proud. Challace and Huc's project is due out sometime this spring, and will be hosted by Havoc.
In other Mobb Deep news, a reference to the duo's immortal track "Shook Ones Part 2," showed up in an unlikely place this week. MSNBC’s chief legal correspondent, Ari Melber alluded to the track in a criticism of Donald Trump on the latest The Beat with Melber segment. "There’s no such thing as halfway privilege, just as there’s no such thing as halfway crooks,” he said. "We know that truth from the great poet Havoc of Mobb Deep who observed that true criminal minds are always thirsty for recognition. But you don’t see longevity from halfway crooks, ‘cause they always end up shook. And that’s the big problem facing any White House pursuing a cover-up with halfway privilege.”
