DDG appeared to backtrack after his "All these girls the same" tweet earlier this week.

DDG and Halle Bailey have been one of pop culture's most adored young couples over the past year or so. The streamer-turned-rapper and Beyoncé-apprentice singer's relationship had been sunshine and rainbows for the most part, until things took a turn earlier this week. On Feb. 7, DDG put out a tweet that implied he and Halle were on the rocks, saying "All these girls the same."

After this, fans discovered he had not only wiped any mention of Halle off of his Instagram page, but the couple unfollowed one another also. DDG's tweet went viral and prompted reactions from both his supporters and Halle's. Some people even believed DDG was implying that Halle cheated on him. It was then discovered that the youngsters re-followed each other on IG hours later, making it all seem like just a melodramatic fight or argument. Amid this drama, Halle's older sister Ski Bailey had some words for DDG, telling him not to "treat her the way that you’ve treated these others." Later, though, Ski rescinded her remarks after discussing the subject with her sister, where Halle assured her nothing was wrong: "My bad y’all. I spoke to sis and ain’t nothing going on lol. Let me go back to drinking my water and minding the business that pays me.”

DDG Backtracks

In a quick change of tone on Feb. 8, DDG put out another tweet seemingly looking to reel the drama back in. "The internet so gullible" he wrote accompanied by a laughing emoji. Less than three hours following this, he put out a new WORLDSTARHIPHOP exclusive music video titled "Delilah." Fans in the replies immediately felt that the drama he manufactured with Halle was simply for promotion of his new single.

While we cannot be sure of DDG and Halle Bailey's current standing, he is definitely making it seem like his original tweet was overblown, as it is now deleted. Regardless, it is pretty apparent that, whether he meant to or not, his latest release is getting more attention because of the debacle. What are your thoughts on the DDG and Halle mess?
