Cash Money has forced Damian Lillard to remove Lil Wayne from his new album.

In case you missed it, NBA point guard Damian Lillard released a new album last Friday called The Letter O, which featured an impressive lineup of guest appearances, including Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Jamie Foxx, and more. However it turns out Damian is being forced to remove one of those features in Lil Wayne.

Lillard, aka Dame D.O.L.L.A., took to Twitter Tuesday night and revealed he was forced to remove the Young Money CEO  from the song “Loyal To The Soil” due to Wayne’s label, Cash Money. “Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him,” Damian tweeted.

It’s unknown if this removal by Cash Money is business related, or just pettiness due to Wayne’s on-going legal battle with Birdman, but it sucks for Lillard, who’s record was getting momentum & had even reached #5 on the iTunes hip-hop charts.

Check out the tweet (below) and stream The Letter O now on HNHH if you haven’t done so already.
