The former beauty queen told House Democrats that Donald Trump raped her after promising to help with her education and U.S. visa.

More than three decades after an encounter at New York's Plaza Hotel, a former beauty pageant contestant has given congressional investigators a more serious account of what allegedly happened behind closed doors. The woman previously accused Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her during a 1993 pageant, but her latest statements contain details she had not publicly disclosed, including an allegation of rape.

Beatrice Keul, a former Miss Switzerland contestant, told Democratic staff members of the House Judiciary Committee that Trump raped her in a hotel suite in November 1993. Her account appears in a report released Monday (Oct. 26) examining Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and allegations involving women who encountered the two men.

Keul was reportedly 24 and working in Switzerland when pageant organizer Jill Harth recruited her for the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant. During a luncheon at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, Keul claims he approached her with promises to help obtain a U.S. visa and secure admission to New York University. She also recalled Epstein introducing himself as Trump's best friend and offering to arrange a trip to Mar-a-Lago.

Later that day, a representative allegedly invited Keul upstairs to meet privately with Trump. She believed the meeting could help advance her career. However, she claims Trump grabbed her from behind and raped her, leaving her bleeding and bruised. She described the alleged assault as "brutal." Keul further alleged that Trump pressured her to remain silent while repeating his promises about her education and immigration status, telling her, "The show must go on."

Donald Trump's White House Denies Beatrice Keul's Allegations

Keul's latest account differs from the one she shared publicly in October 2024. During an interview with the Daily Mail, she alleged that Trump had forcibly kissed and groped her inside a Plaza Hotel suite. At the time, she described managing to fend him off by persuading him to talk instead.

The congressional report acknowledges her earlier account and explains that Keul provided additional details during several weeks of interviews with committee staff. It also includes a photograph of Keul with Trump at the pageant and references Harth's 1997 sexual assault lawsuit against him as supporting context. Those materials do not independently establish that the alleged rape occurred.

In a statement to PEOPLE, White House spokesperson Lauren Bis rejected the accusation. "None of these allegations are true," Bis said, calling the Democrats' report a politically motivated attempt to distract from Trump's accomplishments. Trump has not been charged in connection with Keul's allegations.

The report examines accounts involving 11 women, including five who have directly accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in circumstances connected to Epstein. House Judiciary Committee Democrats, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin, are calling for an independent special counsel to investigate possible Epstein co-conspirators and for greater access to Justice Department records. No such investigation has been announced in connection with Keul's new allegations.
