Jahlil Beats details the making of Lloyd Banks' "Jackpot," AKA Bobby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga," beat.

Philly native Jahlil Beats broke out a few years back when he made some beats for hometown homie Meek Mill, but lately, he's experienced some unprecedented notoriety for a beat he made over two years ago. Originally given to Lloyd Banks for a track called "Jackpot," the instrumental has seen new life in the hands of Bobby Shmurda as "Hot Nigga," and in this video, Jahlil explains how the transfer went down:

"That's a young brother from Brooklyn trying to come up, so I'm like, 'rock with that joint, buy the record, gon' head and do your thing...' I just seen another young brother trying to come up in the game, so I gave him the record... He ain't steal a beat from Banks or none of that, it was all love and I gave him my blessing."
