Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' breakthrough album, The Heist, is platinum certified, but its follow-up, This Unruly Mess I've Made is looking at fairly modest first week numbers. HDD reports that the LP is projected to sell 45-55,000, or 50-60,000 including streaming data.
While The Heist scored two number ones on the Hot 100, the debut is yet to land a top ten single in advance of their new project -- though they could easily have another monster single up their sleeve, let's not forget that The Heist's hits peaked about a year after the album dropped.
HDD suggests that UK band The 1975 will hit #1 this week, while Adele will take the #2 position. Will Macklemore and Ryan Lewis nab the 3rd spot on the Billboard 200? Check back later in the week to find out.
