The legal eagles appear to be circling Lil Uzi Vert.

They say life is supposed to get easier in retirement. Philadelphia's own Lil Uzi Vert has been treading water of late, insofar as his music career is concerned. Record label woes have been keeping the young man in a purgatorial state, and fans have been left waiting for Eternal Atake, perhaps in vain. In that sense, a recent Lil Uzi Vert concert in Arizona was meant to be an act of solace, of temporary respite. And yet, prior to hitting the stage, Uzi canceled the show, reportedly costing marketers over $600,000.

Now, AJC reports that a lawsuit has been filed against Lil Uzi Vert, put forth by the Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta. Though Uzi hails from Philadelphia, the rapper apparently filed his place of business in ATL's Means Street Studios. In a strange turn, it seems as if the rapper has also been living in Atlanta, DeKalb County to be specific.

The court documents reveal that Uzi signed an agreement with promoters on August 13th, which prompted the subsequent spending spree in marketing. Unfortunately, Uzi's decision to dip left many parties high and dry, as he "failed or refused to schedule another concert date or reimburse (the promoters) for its expenses.” Now, the promoters have sicced the legal eagles on Uzi. Let's see how this plays out.
