Wiz Khalifa, Young Thug & Future Headline The 2019 Breakaway Music Festival

Prime Social Group, the promotional and financial muscle behind the perennial Breakaway Music Festival, just announced its multi-city tour for 2019, beginning on August 23rd in Columbus, Ohio. While Breakaway is still in the midst of a self-professed growth period, you wouldn't know it by the looks of the comprehensive lineup amassed by the festival's curation committee.

"The ones we’ve already announced are selling 60% stronger than last year, so that’s really exciting,” Prime Social Group's told Adam Lynn Pollstar, tasked with announcing the dates and lineup for the 2019 festival(s). “It just shows that the brand is becoming more popular and people are having a good time. That we sold a lot more tickets before even announcing who is playing shows brand loyalty, which is always good."

The first two festival dates will take place concurrently, in Columbus and Grand Rapids and respectively. Future and Young Thug were selected as the Ohio headliners, while Wiz Khalifa takes on that responsibility over in Grand Rapids, Michigan. DaBaby is the other notable performer enlisted in the recruitment process for the first two concurrent dates.

Breakaway will cap off 2019 with tour stops in Charlotte and Nashville in consecutive weeks starting on the October the 4th. Future rejoins the circus on both dates flanked by Lil Baby. Besides the quality of the lineup itself, Prime Social Group partners Lynn and Zach Ruben are hopeful a VIP membership will propel their tourney to Coachella levels of notoriety, minus the wheat germs of course.
