Jacquees is notorious for making remixes that sometimes outshine the actual song. He even has his own name for them: "Quemix." Last summer, the singer told Billboard that he loves listening to old music, citing its influence on contemporary sound. "When you listen to today’s music, it all comes from that era of music, so that’s why I listen to a lot of old music," he explained. "There’s nothing wrong with listening to old music and twisting it into your own.”
In fact, his remixes on the first Quemix series are what put him onto Birdman's radar, which ultimately led to a Cash Money record deal. Jacquees confirmed on Twitter last month that he we can look forward to a Quemix 3 soon, and two songs have already been released, "The Light" and "Trip."
