This year has been a turbulent one for Famous Dex. Releasing his Dex Meets Dexter album with features from Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky, many are banking on him to succeed in this rap game. Proficient in his hilarious ad-libs, Dex seems like an all-around funny guy. Considered for the 2018 XXL Freshman List, he was ultimately passed over in favor of stars like Trippie Redd, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp. With XXL seemingly cracking down on possible criminal offenders, leaving out 6ix9ine and Dex likely has to do with their controversial histories. Showing tons of potential, AWGE affiliate Smooky MarGielaa looks to be teaming up with Famous Dex, banking on their combined skillset.
In an announcement made to Instagram, Dex posed alongside the 16-year-old rapper as they teased some upcoming music together. Noting that they will be dropping tomorrow, it's unclear whether their plan is to release a single, a few tracks or a full project together. The likelihood of a single track is high but you never know these days. Posting up in the studio, Dexter seems excited about the upcoming track with Smooky, perhaps being granted more freedom over his career after his departure from Rich Forever.
While people still try to work out what went wrong in his relationship with Rich the Kid as it seemed the two were as close as ever, Dex is working hard to keep his name fresh in fan's minds. Will you be keeping an eye out tomorrow?
