Coming up as a rapper in 2018, artists need to do all sorts of things to differentiate themselves from the pack. Many draw attention to themselves with crazy colored hairdo's and face tattoos, but Chicago's Valee is a bit different. The main thing that sets Valee apart, his sleepy-time voice not withstanding, is the sheer variety of off-kilter and unique flows that he brings to his songs.

His flows are what caught the attention of Pusha T and got him signed to the G.O.O.D. Music label, so it's not surprising that people might be trying to steal them from him. There have been a couple of recent incidents where rappers have been caught using Valee's flows. Tyler, The Creator used one on OKRA, though he shouted out Valee afterwards, and producer Chasethemoney went after Murda Beatz and Tekashi 6ix9ine for allegedly copying Valee's "Two 16s" flow.

As for Valee, he really doesn't care about it either way. During an Ask Me Anything interview on the HipHopHeads subreddit, one of the main questions people were asking was how he felt about other rappers jacking his flows. His answers included: "i have a lot of new flows otw," "i never heard it," and "i dont pay it no attention."

Valee doesn't seem to be concerned by what any other rappers are saying or doing, which can be a strength and a weakness. He also didn't give any new information on his rumored 7-track album with Kanye West either, unfortunately.
