Azealia Banks has had beef with a number of A-list hip-hop stars for as long as we can remember. She and Nicki Minaj once had a tiff, and now they've seemingly made up. She also went in on Remy Ma and then Remy exposed her showing a text message of Banks wanting to work with her. The latest words the "Anna Wintour" singer had to throw at someone was when she called Cardi B an “illiterate, untalented rat.”
“I’m just talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves would never be able to get away with,” Banks said. “Like, if my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day.”
Cardi has responded to the situation in a since-deleted post, sharing a yearbook photo of a young baby Cardi with the caption: "Let a bitch tell it I only made it to the 8th grade. Next to photo of her College ID, she added: “College ID Bmcc but I have no education."
There is one post she did keep up, that is clearly directed at Azealia. “No one ever notices when you’re being provoked, just when you retaliate.”
