“I’m shocked that I won this award for Best Villain. I thought Roseanne had this in the bag,” Jordan said.

Michael B. Jordan decided to make a surprise reference to Roseanne Barr during Monday night’s acceptance speech for “Best Villian” at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards, and boy was it perfect. While accepting the award for his role as Killmonger in the film Black Panther, Michael B Jordan said he was surprised that Roseanne didn’t win the award for her role as a best villain.

“I’m shocked that I won this award for Best Villain. I thought Roseanne had this in the bag,” Jordan said as the crowd “oooh'd” and “aaah’d” in shock.

If you’re unfamiliar, Roseanne just got her show terminated a couple weeks ago after she sent out some racist tweets about White House aide Valerie Jarrett, saying she looked like a combination of “Muslim brotherhood” and “Planet of the Apes.” Roseanne, who's had a history of racist remarks, blamed her outburst on her “Ambien,” but that wasn't an excuse and ABC canned her show entirely.

In addition to the Roseanne shot, the Black Panther actor also added a request from his costar Chadwick Boseman: “He personally asked me to ask y’all to stop asking him to say ‘Wakanda Forever’ out on the streets. Y’all taking the forever thing a little too seriously.”
