Similar to <a href="/profile/liluzivert" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Lil Uzi Vert</a>, <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/trippie-redd-only-wants-to-create-timeless-music-news.46402.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">whose ethos he sometimes embodies</a>, Trippie Redd has been outspoken in his love of different genres outside of hip-hop, including outlier artists in general, and definitely Nirvana. In between <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/trippie-redd-calls-out-xxxtentacion-and-6ix9ine-for-allegedly-abusing-women-news.49795.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">drama with Tekashi 6ix9ine</a> that is getting more and more complicated to unpack, the rapper has been performing at <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/lil-uzi-vert-meek-mill-young-thug-and-more-at-rolling-loud-photo-highlights-news.50207.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">festivals like Rolling Loud</a>, and creating his next album in the studio. We just found out<a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/trippie-redd-reveals-that-new-project-will-be-dual-sided-news.50632.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> the project would be a double-disc,</a> the latest trend to help an artist milk <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/stream-trolling-the-problem-with-excessively-long-tracklists-news.45183.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">streaming for all its worth</a> (and in some ways, props to them, considering the miniscule amounts of money that they are bringing in with each stream).  
Delving further into the double-disc idea, Trippie revealed that one side would be more rock and r&#8217;n&#8217;b-laden, and the other side would be certified bangers, including a song with <a href="/profile/quavo" class="text-word" target="_blank" >Quavo</a>. Thus, this new record he&#8217;s previewing on Instagram will likely end up on the former side. It&#8217;s clearly a Nirvana-inspired song, with the caption paying homage to Kurt Cobain. Trippie wrote, &#8220;ROAD KILL R.I.P KURT I LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL TO DEATH *INSPIRED*&#8221;
Inspired indeed. Over a grungy guitar riff, you can hear Trippie&#8217;s brash vocals, singing a la Kurt.
