Druski made Saturday Night Live history last night (Saturday, November 7) by becoming the first principally digital creator and celebrity to host SNL. It had a lot of folks very excited, including Travis Scott, who took to Twitter to urge fans to support his colleague.
"EVERY BODY WATCH DRUSKI SNL," the Houston superstar wrote. "THE GREAT. I DONT GIVE A F**K WHAT YOU DOING. BREAK SNL STATION FOR ONCE. HE THE ONLY ONE WE GOT."
Along with celebrity friends celebrating this online, plenty of others attended the actual shoot to support the comedian. These include folks like Dave Chappelle, Emma Stone, Michael B. Jordan, Chris Rock, and many more.
One of the most notable sketches and skits for Dru's Saturday Night Live hosting debut was Dru Can See Everything. It's a spoof of the acclaimed Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim-helmed documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, You Can See Everything.
Druski broke out his whiteface again to make fun of the premise and the controversial businesswoman at the center of Fielder and Oppenheim's project. While some folks online aren't happy with how other sketches turned out, this one seems to be a favorite on social media.
Druski's Elizabeth Holmes Parody
Druski has other big moves under his belt, as he recently reached a huge deal with Netflix and announced a new show with Mike Epps. This will reportedly bring some of his "Coulda Been" reality TV series and other sketches to the platform, and may even lead to stand-up specials and other types of content in the future. That last part is wholly speculative, though, but it's something fans have been thinking a lot about.
As for the show with Mike Epps, the Maryland comedian will star in the church comedy Collect & Praise, which comes out on December 1. We'll see how that pans out in comparison to his online content.
Amid all this success, Druski's done a lot of reflecting on his path, whether it's thanking celebrities for their support or on life before the fame. He continues to rack up massive strides in the entertainment industry, which will be hard to navigate. But this SNL run shows things may only go up from here.
