Druski has quickly become one of the biggest comedians on the internet. Overall, he has millions of followers, and his sketches sometimes amass hundreds of millions of views. However, he has yet to make the transition to traditional media...until now.
While Druski will not be on network television, he will get to go on Netflix, according to Variety. He has signed a massive multi-year deal with the streamer, which will bring some of his most iconic work to the platform. For instance, “Coulda Been Love,” “Coulda Been Daddy,” “Coulda Been Records Auditions," and even some of his skits will be viewable on Netflix.
Moreover, on December 1, he will star in a church comedy show called Collect & Praise, which also stars Mike Epps. It is the kind of TV series that Druski's fans have been asking for, and now, he is set to deliver.
Druski Signs Netflix Deal
Whether or not the show is a success remains to be seen. There is a lot riding on this for Druski, as questions remain about whether or not he can carry this kind of show. While his sketches work in an internet context, not everyone is convinced that he can star in this kind of series. Now, he will get to prove people wrong.
Even if the show is not a success, Netflix likely paid a pretty penny for his reality TV and sketch library. This will give the comedian a large injection of cash, which has not been disclosed at this time.
If you are a Druski fan, then you might want to go out and get a subscription to Netflix if you don't already have one.
