Skepta's wait is over. The Tottenham MC released The Fork and Knife, his first solo studio album since 2019's Ignorance Is Bliss. The 15-track project was first announced years ago as Knife and Fork, and singles like "Gas Me Up (Diligent)," "Victory Lap," "Innocent Smile," and "Pandora's Box" already previewed the sound. The guest list runs wide: Novelist, Project Pat, Finessekid, Asake on "Aloe Vera," Aya Nakamura on "Chippie," Central Cee and Jorja Smith on "Broken Hearts," Suggs and Chase & Status on "Innocent Smile," Fred again.. and PlaqueBoyMax on "Victory Lap," and a stacked grime cypher on "Belly." Skepta has said the record got more personal as he explored life as a child of immigrants, tying the artwork to Nigerian British imagery. After a long rollout, the full album is finally out.
