For four years, The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour turned a trilogy of albums into a global meeting place. That run came to an end Wednesday night (November 4) at TM Stadium Nasional in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Live Nation has now put a record-setting number on it. The tour grossed more than $1.3 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour by a male artist in history.
The total is as massive as the journey behind it. Live Nation says the tour sold more than 9 million tickets across 176 shows in 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents since beginning in July 2022. Variety reports that it passed Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which grossed over $939 million, for the male-artist record. After Hours Til Dawn now stands behind only Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres on the outlet’s all-time gross list.
A Four-Year Stadium Run Ends In Kuala Lumpur
The closing leg showed just how wide that audience had become. After initially announcing 11 Asia dates, The Weeknd expanded the run to 17 sold-out stadium shows. It included three nights in Bangkok and four in Hong Kong before the Kuala Lumpur finale. The 2026 leg alone brought in more than $500 million from over 3 million tickets, according to Live Nation. HNHH followed the scale of the buildup as additional 2026 dates were announced with Playboi Carti.
The final tally also includes a humanitarian footprint. Live Nation says $8.5 million has been donated to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen through the tour, supporting hunger relief and education initiatives. For The Weeknd, the closing number is big enough to dominate the headline, but the real story is how a Canadian artist carried three album eras from stadium to stadium for four years. Millions of fans made that world together, one night and one city at a time.
