Bow Wow was one of the performers at Drake's birthday party, and the Canadian megastar made sure to pay homage.

Drake celebrated his 40th birthday in New York City over the weekend. He had a massive dinner party on Friday, followed by a club party on Saturday. It was an impressive showing for an artist with a lot of famous friends.

Those who attended the party certainly showed out. Whether it was with expensive suits or expensive jewelry. No expense was spared for Drizzy. Moreover, those who were asked to perform did so on a moment's notice.

One of those people was none other than Bow Wow. Drake was heavily inspired by Bow Wow coming up, and before he got on stage, the Canadian megastar offered an ovation in which he gave the artist his flowers.

Drake Thanks Bow Wow

“If it wasn’t for these two right here, popping it when I was in my mom’s basement, watching 106 & Park, teaching me how to make songs for the tings, teaching me how to do videos, how to be a superstar, this guy right here I have a lot of love for,” Drake said. “It wouldn’t be no Drake without [Bow Wow].”

Bow Wow eventually performed "Like You," and the crowd was certainly feeling his performance. It was a cool moment, and one that the guests will remember for a long time.

There were other performers during the evening. For instance, we also got to see a performance from the Backstreet Boys. This was more of a surprise orchestrated by Drake's friends, although it certainly landed with the crowd.

Drake is someone who does it big, and his birthday celebrations were yet another example of that.
