Kanye West was performing in Jakarta, Indonesia this weekend, and there were some odd vocal moments that fans couldn't help but point out.

Kanye West performed in Indonesia this weekend as he continues his world tour. Overall, Jakarta showed up and showed out for the artist in a big way. The crowd was loving every second of the performance, and it just goes to show that Ye's influence is global.

However, there were a few clips from the performance that went viral on social media. As is typically the case, the virality was for all the wrong reasons.

An account called "yzyupdates," which is dedicated to Kanye West news, took to X with a video of Ye doing an acapella rendition of "Heartless." The vocals were a bit awkward, especially without the instrumental behind him. The account added laughing emojis and clearly made fun of the whole thing.

However, Ye was not going to stand for any slander. He made a rare appearance on X, where he gave the fan an explanation for his choices.

Kanye West Wasn't Having It

"Bro This shit was a vibe The crowd was very loud It’s called rock and roll," Ye said.

So there you have it. Ye was just having a bit of fun with his audience. Besides, as he explains, they did not seem to mind this at all. They understood what the artist was going for, and they happily sang along with him.

Ye's World Tour has been impressive to watch. While he still has a lot of work to do to ultimately redeem himself, there is no doubt that a large contingent of fans are still ready to support him.

Whether or not he ever receives mainstream acceptance again, still remains to be seen.
