SZA is finally releasing her first collection as Vans Artistic Director, and the VANSZA drop features two reworked classics.

SZA has officially unveiled her first collection with Vans. The VANSZA Drop 1 is set to release on October 22nd at Vans and select retailers.

This is a big moment for the singer. She was named Vans' first Artistic Director about a year ago, and she fronted the brand's Spring 2026 "Off the Wall" campaign.

The collection starts with two shoes. The first is the Knu Skool Mule, a backless version of the chunky skate shoe. It comes in black and white, with tiny insect graphics printed on the insole.

The second is the Authentic Kickdown. It has a white canvas upper that looks worn in, plus fish artwork across the sides. The heel is collapsible, so you can fold it down and wear it like a mule.

That detail comes from a real habit. SZA has said her mom has always told her to stop stepping on the backs of her shoes. This time, she built it into the design. Pricing is $110 for the Authentic Kickdown and $115 for the Knu Skool Mule.

SZA will also make appearances to promote the drop. She stops by Vans Glendale Galleria in California on October 17th, then Foot Locker at Freehold Raceway Mall in New Jersey on October 21st.

The collection is built around nature. SZA studied marine biology in college, so the fish, butterflies, and bugs feel personal. Photos also show duck camo and creatures of the sea.

There is also a full apparel line. Expect hoodies, shorts, sweats, denim, and checkered prints. A reversible fishing vest is part of the lineup, too.

The lookbook was shot in a dry California landscape. Photographer India Sleem and Yudo Kurita handled the imagery, and it gives the clothes a warm, earthy feel.

Overall, it feels like a very personal project. Instead of simply adding a logo, SZA put real stories into the shoes and clothes. More is coming as well. A second drop is reportedly set for April 8th, 2027 with a Tabi hiking shoe and a camo Knu Skool.
