Drake just showed off a new custom ride, and it's a wild one. He posted a 1999 Mercedes-Benz G-Class built by S-KLUB LA, with some OVO touches added in.
The base is a rare 1999 G500 Europa edition. S-KLUB LA turned it into a two-door Safari truck with an open bed. It's short, boxy, and looks like it belongs in the desert.
You can spot the OVO details right away. There's an owl badge in the middle of the grille guard, and "ICE MAN" decals run across the roof rack. That's a nod of course to Drake's latest album, ICEMAN.
The inside was reportedly rebuilt too. The shop lists Audison Thesis speakers, DSP Forza amps, and four 10-inch subs. That's a lot of sound for a truck this small, but someone like Drake would certainly be concerned with the audio system sounding perfect.
Drake posed next to it on a grassy lot with big tan tents behind him. He was posted up to the G Wagon holding a shotgun. Overall, it's another flashy and extravagant purchase from Drake. He's clearly got a sense of what he likes, and he's continuing to lean in.
Drake's Custom Mercedes G-Class
G-Wagons have been a rap staple for years, and Drake has been around that world for a long time. This one is a different kind of build, though.
This one goes in a bit of a different direction. Instead of a high speed, it leans into a vintage, utility look. The boxy 1999 body is the star, and the Safari details make it feel like a movie prop.
It also fits the Iceman theme. Branding from the album shows up on the truck, so it works as both a vehicle and a piece of promo. Drake has always used visuals like this to keep fans talking.
A one-of-one S-KLUB LA Safari G-Class like this was listed at $399,999 earlier this year. It isn't clear whether it's the same exact truck, or what Drake paid.
