Years after the breakup, Saweetie says she’s surprised the Bentley drama with Quavo is still being discussed.

Five years later, the Bentley is somehow still part of the conversation. Quavo recently revisited the luxury car he took back after his breakup with Saweetie, this time saying the decision came with a little divine guidance. When his ex was asked about that explanation, she seemed more surprised that anyone was still discussing it.

“I’m surprised that’s still a topic of conversation,” Saweetie told TMZ while speaking with the outlet at LAX. After hearing that Quavo said God told him to reclaim the car, she added that she was “happy” he had “found God.”

The response was brief, but it fit the way Saweetie has handled the Bentley saga for years. The customized white Continental, complete with snowflake details and “Icy” embroidered into the headrests, arrived as a Christmas gift in 2020. By March 2021, the relationship was over, and the car quickly became one of the most public pieces of breakup fallout.

Quavo Finally Explained Why He Took The Bentley Back

The subject resurfaced when Yung Miami asked Quavo about the car during a recent conversation. Asked why he reclaimed it, he offered an answer no one had on the 2021 breakup bingo card. “Sometimes God says get something back, you better go get it,” he said while discussing the Bentley.

There is some history behind why the question never quite disappeared. Quavo’s camp initially denied reports that he had repossessed the car after the split. Months later, the same Bentley, still carrying its customized “Icy” details, surfaced for sale at a luxury dealership. Quavo had also appeared to reference the situation on Migos’ “Having Our Way,” rapping that an unnamed woman was “out of a Bentley.”

Yung Miami has now heard both sides directly. During Saweetie’s 2022 appearance on Caresha Please, Miami asked how she felt when Quavo took the car back. Saweetie laughed and explained that she simply bought herself another luxury vehicle. “I had to go get me a little Rolls[-Royce],” she said.

That answer already suggested the Bentley had become more interesting to everyone else than it was to Saweetie. Her latest response does not offer a competing version of why Quavo took it or reopen the breakup. She mostly seems amused that a Christmas present from 2020 keeps finding its way into interviews in 2026. The Bentley may have changed hands years ago, but apparently the story still has excellent mileage.
