Digital Nas has worked with Kanye West on various collaborations in the 2020s, even more controversial ones like the Ye track "Cousins." However, it seems like his deal with YZY allegedly left him completely unable to get any money from them, as he alleged in a series of Instagram posts caught by 2Cool2Blog on the platform.
"You think the lawyer got your back, but no, the lawyer is actually in cahoots with the people that's sending you an agreement," the producer claimed in a video. "In the music industry, lawyers get five percent... They don't give a f**k about what that agreement says. They give a f**k about the deal getting closed so they can get their five percent. So they be in cahoots with the exact same people they're supposed to be protecting you against. So when I signed that contract, my lawyer made it seem like, 'Oh, it's all good.' [...] I own zero. I get nothing from six years of hard work. No publishing, no royalties... I'm waiting on money..."
In subsequent IG stories, Nas said he was retiring due to YZY allegedly ruining his career and making him unable to profit from his work or support his family. He listed a series of songs he helped Ye create, pleading with him to call him because no one at YZY was answering.

However, Digital Nas later returned to Instagram to apologize for his remarks. "I'm getting off social media for a while," he wrote on his Story. "Should've kept this private. I was impatient. I was getting no responses. It's getting handled now." The producer also shared a screenshot of a message from his mother expressing concern over his health.
Digital Nas has been in the game for years, so it's sad to see this frustration emerge over something more recent. YZY and Ye haven't publicly addressed any of this at press time.
However, Digital Nas has complained about his Kanye West collabs before, specifically over the track "CARNIVAL." This joins many other producers' complaints about royalties concerning Ye and other financial agreements. We'll see if any others emerge.
