The Grand National Tour has helped Kendrick Lamar earn the record for the highest-grossing year by a rapper in history, according to Touring Data. The updated figures include shows in Australia and Latin America, which occurred after his North American and European shows. Altogether, he generated $390.7 million across 47 shows with 2.037 million tickets sold. Moreover, this new feat also reportedly made the Grand National tour the highest-grossing rap tour in history.
Touring Data also revealed that his concert in Mexico City set a personal record in Kendrick’s career for his highest-grossing and most-attended solo concert. He raked in $5.879 million from 58,426 tickets.
The Grand National Tour was undoubtedly one of the concerts that had 2025 in a chokehold, largely because it came off the heels of “Not Like Us,” the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the release of GNX.

Evidently, 2025 was a busy year for the Compton MC. This year has been considerably quiet in comparison. Although we haven’t really received much of an update on a new album, he has come through with a handful of features. Most recently, he appeared on Jhené Aiko’s song “So Good” from her new album, Westside Whimsey. He also appeared on DJ Dahii’s new project on the song “How To Pray.”
While we can’t say when a new album or solo music will arrive, Kendrick Lamar reportedly has new, unreleased music attached to the film he and Dave Free have been working on alongside South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Unfortunately, that movie has been delayed once again, without a release date in sight. Still, Parker and Stone said they believe in the project, so hopefully, it will see the light of day in the future.
