Back in May of 2025, Antonio Brown was accused of second-degree attempted murder during an alleged altercation at one of Adin Ross' boxing events. This alleged incident took place in Miami, and it reportedly ended with the former NFL wide receiver chasing Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu with a gun.
As the story goes, the two were former acquaintances who got into an argument outside the venue in Miami. This altercation became physical, and according to TMZ, punches were thrown. However, it all took a turn when Brown allegedly stole a gun off a security guard and chased Nantambu, which ultimately led to the charges.
Now, it appears as though Brown is taking a generous plea deal that ensures the wide receiver avoids jail time. Instead, he will simply be facing probation, as opposed to upwards of 30 years in prison.
Brown maintained his innocence throughout the legal process and claimed self-defense. As per Brown's lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, this plea deal was simply too good to refuse.

“Antonio believes in his innocence. He believes strongly in his Stand Your Ground defense, and he believes he would ultimately prevail at trial," Eiglarsh said. "But when prosecutors put an offer on the table that transforms a potential decades-long prison sentence into a significantly reduced charge and probation, there was simply no way he could reasonably turn it down.”
This is clearly a big win for Brown, especially when you consider everything that was at stake. This is a case that could have put him away for a minimum of 20 years if convicted.
On September 30, the plea agreement will be made official, and Brown will begin his probation conditions.
