Young Thug spent multiple years in Fulton County Jail as he awaited his YSL Rico trial. In the end, Thug secured a plea deal that put him on probation for 15 years. However, he was able to secure his freedom, and he has been thriving ever since.
In those early days while in prison, there was lots of uncertainty. He had very few ways of communicating with his friends and family. Furthermore, it was unclear if his co-defendants would seek out deals for themselves that could potentially compromise Thug's defense.
Despite all of this, one fan was able to figure out how to send messages to Young Thug's iPad. This happened about six months into his stay, and according to Thugger Daily on X, it left a lasting impression.
When Young Thug received the text, he was understandably confused by what he was reading. However, when he realized what was happening, he immediately sought to make sure that Mariah The Scientist and his family got the proper information to contact him.
Young Thug's Special Bond With A Fan
As Thugger Daily reveals, the fan was given a meet-and-greet with the rapper on Monday. In fact, Young Thug recognized her when she revealed her name. It just goes to show that this kind gesture helped the artist through some dark times.
If it hadn't been for that fan's kind words and random text message, Young Thug may have never figured out that he could communicate with his loved ones. That would have made his stay in jail that much lonelier. Thankfully, there were fans out there who cared enough to try and reach out.
Young Thug is currently on tour with his YSL roster as they go around the United States.
