Just a couple of weeks ago, Lil Durk was found not guilty on all charges in his murder for hire case. He was facing five charges, two of which were related to murder-for-hire, three of which were for stalking. Now, he faces a separate VICAR trial which will determine whether or not he gets to come home.
While Durk was fully acquitted, his co-defendants, OTF Dede and David Lindsey, were found guilty on the three stalking counts. These convictions come with lengthy sentences, and their legal team is doing everything it can to get the decision overturned.
According to reporter Michael Blackshire, attorneys have filed Rule 33 and 29 motions to get a new trial and an acquittal. At this time, a judge has yet to decide on the new motions.

“Defendants Lindsey and Wilson moved for judgment of acquittal underFederal Rule of Criminal Procedure 29 at the close of the government's case on September 3, 2026; the Court reserved decision under Rule 29(b), and the motions were renewed at the close of all the evidence," the motion reads.
Lil Durk's legal situation continues to be one of the biggest stories in hip-hop, especially when you consider how he was able to beat his initial case. However, the work does not end here for him. With Dede and Lindsey filing new motions, Durk also has to continue fighting his VICAR case.
As it stands, Durk is expected to appear in court on November 4 for a bond hearing. The VICAR trial was also supposed to take place in a few weeks from now, although it is likely to be delayed.
