"pawn shop" by redveil was inspired by a type beat in his style from a fan, and he tackled it with the skill we've come to expect.

redveil has been one of hip-hop's brightest young stars of the 2020s. This has been true whether it's via full-length albums or short but compelling loosies. In the latter category, the PG County MC just added another gem with his track "pawn shop." The instrumental, produced by Rohan Kumar, is actually a type beat Kumar made in the style of redveil, MAVI, and Earl Sweatshirt. As such, it's no surprise the rapper fits well over the sunny and horn-backed jam. redveil's flows are dexterous, his vocal delivery is passionate, and he's able to get a lot of energy out of just a minute and 11 seconds of runtime.
