Official images are finally out for the Air Jordan 5 "Sunset," confirming the sneaker's first retro since 2006.

Official images are now out for the Air Jordan 5 "Sunset," confirming its September 25th release. It's priced at $205 in women's sizing. Nike, Foot Locker, Shiekh, Finish Line, Hibbett, and DSG will all carry it.

The style code is IV5678-102. This marks the colorway's first-ever retro, 20 years after its original 2006 release. White leather forms the entire upper, giving the shoe a clean, versatile base.

Silver 3M covers the tongue, keeping that classic Air Jordan 5 detail intact. Fire Red hits the outsole, inner lining, and heel Jumpman logo. Further the Sunset orange takes over the lace lock, tongue branding, and shark-tooth midsole detailing.

The shape stays close to the original 2006 build, with only slight differences from the modern Air Jordan 5 mold. That's been the standard approach for most of Jordan Brand's recent 2000s bring-backs. Even with those small updates, the overall silhouette should feel familiar to anyone who owned the original pair.

This continues a run of 2000s returns for Jordan Brand, following the "Tour Yellow" Air Jordan 4 just a few weeks back.

The "Sunset" stood out back in 2006 for straying from the usual color schemes. Also Jordan was clearly getting more comfortable experimenting outside that traditional playbook by that point. A soft, warm palette like this one felt like a real difference at the time.

That willingness to branch out helped the colorway build a reputation, even without any direct tie to Jordan's playing career. It's further remained a favorite among collectors who appreciate the model's quieter, more experimental releases. 20 years without a retro only added to that hype.

Mid-2000s colorways have become a major focus for Jordan Brand throughout 2026. Between "Sunset," "Tour Yellow," and other returning pairs, this year has leaned hard into that specific era. For collectors who missed these the first time around, it's been one of the better stretches in recent memory.

With official images now confirmed, all that's left is the actual release dropping later this month.
