The Lil Durk trial has finally wrapped up, although the Chicago rapper is facing another trial soon for charges previously severed from the murder-for-hire case. A jury acquitted him on all counts, including stalking and murder-for-hire charges. Those who dislike or condemn Durk, such as Charleston White, are quite angry about the not guilty verdict. In his specific case, White took it a step further and accused DJ Akademiks and his unwitting role in court proceedings of leading to the verdict.
Charleston was on a phone call with Akademiks while the commentator and reporter was on a livestream, as caught by his affiliate Instagram page. White said he was furious over the results, and pointed the finger at Ak.
"You the reason he got away," he remarked, with Akademiks pushing back. "When the judge brought that s**t up and you said that s**t was a script, you the one f***ed this s**t up. You the reason for the f**k-up. You know how many victims you done hurt 'cause of that? Until you came and gave a public statement... The jury didn't need nothing... Before you said what you said, and the jury convened, and the judge had to throw your name up in it, and they said they was wrong, up until that point, you was the evidence they needed and had to convict him. Then you came with that bulls**t. You saved that n***a life.
Charleston White brought up Lul Pab's family and claimed Ak should be "ashamed" of himself. Hollywood Unlocked also caught his social media video in reaction to the verdict.
DJ Akademiks & Lil Durk
For those unaware, what Charleston White seemed to refer to was how DJ Akademiks' interview with Lil Durk came up in the trial. Judge Michael Fitzgerald said he understands why Akademiks was mad about this, as he never asked to be part of the trial.
On the other hand, Charleston White's previous commentary on Lil Durk's trial shows he was on the prosecution's side as far as what he thought Durk did and what outcome he wanted to see. Now, debates and controversies are flowing quickly around this situation.
