Yeat surprised fans when he dissed Travis Scott on "On Nothing," allegedly due to a Kylie Jenner collab and a "Slime Language 3" removal.

No one really expects Yeat and Travis Scott to truly engage in lyrical warfare, but folks are still interested in their burgeoning beef. After the former dropped the "On Nothing" diss track, fans looked back at some interesting text messages the ADL artist had shared right before the song's release.

Kurrco shared the screenshot on Twitter, which Yeat had shared on his social media. It's unclear who the messages are from or what context they're referring to. But either way, "On Nothing" made fans look back in retrospect and theorize the feud may be deeper.

"if you wanna end lil bro career go ahead drop that video lil boy. we gon break lil bros cocoon. ya whole team compromised praying on yo downfall. etc. I bet you wont drop it lil boy," the messages read. "NOON [crying-laughing emoji]," Yeat had captioned his post before dropping "On Nothing."

"Cocoon" seems to be the title of an upcoming Yeat project, which he teased at the end of his "On Nothing" video. But again, the messages are very unclear. We will see if either of them speaks more about this situation or just lets fans speak for them.

Yeat's Travis Scott Diss

As for what sparked this animosity, the recent removal of Yeat from the Slime Language 3 track "Eaters" (which also features La Flame) may be the reason. Many fans alleged Travis is the mystery artist on the song who allegedly gave Young Thug an ultimatum: cut Yeat or cut him.

This follows the removal of a Yeat-assisted JACKBOYS 2 cut from streaming. However, that was a while ago, and the specific reasons and circumstances related to it are unclear. As such, it might not relate to this most recent flare-up.

But what's the origin of all this? Some fans have speculated it may have something to do with Yeat collaborating with Travis Scott's ex. "Let King Tonka Talk" from ADL featured Kylie Jenner (AKA King Kylie), so some fans think there may be jealousy or some other form of animosity at play as a result.

This is all speculative at press time, as neither artist has clarified this explicitly. Will they ever? We'll just have to be patient and see.
