Dallas rapper Mo3 (real name Melvin Noble) was gunned down on Interstate 35E in his home city almost six years ago, and his murder case is finally starting to come to a close. According to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, a jury found Kewon White guilty of capital murder for carrying out the shooting, and he received a life sentence. Authorities had accused him of being paid by rapper Yella Beezy to murder the Dallas MC, and Beezy and another alleged culprit (Devin Brown) will face their own trials over this murder soon.
Per NBC 5's Candace Sweat, Noble's mother provided a victim impact statement in court. She reportedly looked at White and said she saw a "young man who was looking for acceptance, and perhaps even love." The mother reportedly forgave the convicted killer and told him she loved him.
Brown also faces capital murder charges, and Yella Beezy (real name Markies Conway) faces accusations of orchestrating a murder-for-hire. White's trial lasted two weeks, and the judge in the case reportedly told him he has the right to appeal. White reportedly appeared to wipe tears away when Noble's mother spoke to him.
On the other hand, prosecutors reportedly indicated they are in the process of fully switching their focus to the next two cases. We will have to wait and see when the court confirms Devin Brown's trial's start date.
When Is Yella Beezy's Trial?
As for the remaining case, Yella Beezy's capital murder trial concerning Mo3 will reportedly begin on September 14, according to Dallas County Clerk records. Since he is the one prosecutors are accusing of orchestrating the murder, Kewon White's case and Devin Brown's court appearance did and will hold evidence and arguments prosecutors will reuse to fortify their case against Beezy.
His defense team (reportedly attorneys Toby Shook, John F. Gussio, and Michael Mowla) denies the allegations against their client. Their arguments in White and Brown's trials will also help them defend Beezy. We'll see what a jury concludes.
In any case, this is the first proverbial domino to fall in finally tackling the murder of Mo3. We will see if Yella Beezy and Devin Brown face a similar fate to Kewon White.
