Quality Control is asking fans for prayers and privacy after its cofounder and CEO Pierre "P" Thomas suffered a heart attack. However, this situation has led to some confusion online, with false death reports running rampant before the QC label and others clarified this. Another alleged source who confirmed P is alive is a woman claiming to be his mother, who also alleged someone is to blame for her son's condition.
No Jumper caught the video from P's mother on Instagram. In it, she addressed fans spreading false death rumors.
"Let me straighten y'all all out," the mother of the music executive remarked. "First of all, my son is not dead. No matter what my son has done to me, no matter what he's done to you, he's still my child. Somebody did this to him, and I know it because there's neurologically no reason [for the heart attack]. Pierre is alive. Is he well? No. But don't count nobody out... We reap what we sow in this life... I can't just walk away from my child like that and he's incapacitated. But cut the lie... My son is not dead. I don't know who gave TMZ that story, but cut the lie. He's healing. He's recovering. And I'm here. He rising up like Lazarus."
Pierre "P" Thomas Hospitalized
Quality Control provided a statement to TMZ after news of the heart attack and hospitalization broke, indicating P is "alive and currently receiving medical care." They also asked for "everyone [to] keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time... We deeply appreciate everyone's concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now."
No other details about this situation are available at press time. We will see if any other confirmations or statements emerge.
In recent years, Quality Control's Pierre "P" Thomas has been in controversy, mostly due to back-and-forth snitching allegations between him and Young Thug. This was amid Thugger's leaked jail calls scandal, which divided much of Atlanta hip-hop in the public eye. Now, though, all corners of hip-hop are praying for his full recovery.
