The Tupac Shakur murder trial started in Las Vegas this week, as Duane "Keefe D" Davis stands accused of orchestrating the rapper's murder.

A harrowing scene took place near a Las Vegas courthouse on Tuesday as the family of Tupac Shakur was leaving Duane "Keefe D" Davis' trial to go grab lunch. According to PEOPLE, a shooting erupted down the street from the courthouse.

At this time, police are investigating, and there are no reports of this being linked to the trial itself.

Tuesday morning was a busy one for the trial. Jurors were shown MGM Grand surveillance footage of Tupac's crew allegedly beating up Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson. Just a few hours after the altercation, Tupac was shot while riding around in a car with Suge Knight. Four men were in the white Cadillac that ambushed Tupac, including Anderson and Keefe D.

Autopsy photos were subsequently shown in the courtroom. These images displayed the legendary rapper's injuries and the attempts to save him.

Tupac Shakur Trial Continues

When the trial was paused for lunch, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur left the courtroom and thanked reporters for covering the trial. “Thank you so much for being here,” she said. “For covering this. Thank you.” Shakur then joined her brother Mopreme Shakur, and they eventually left in a vehicle.

This was when six officers responded to a shooting at the 500 block of Casino Center Boulevard near Bonneville Street. Upon investigation, a victim was not found, and evidence of a shooting was unable to be located. It was said during the dispatch that shots were fired inside a Starbucks.

When lunch was over, the trial resumed without any delays. An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.

Meanwhile, Keefe D faces life in prison for the alleged murder of Tupac. The trial is expected to last an entire month.
