Akademiks speaks out over a dismissed lawsuit against Drake, Stake and himself.

Akademiks’ feud with Roc Nation has undoubtedly helped shape the current narrative that has lingered around the company as of late. While the JAŸ-Z founded company’s grip on the music industry is unquestioned, Ak has often raised his skepticism about their business practices and how they handle things behind-the-scenes. This is especially true as it relates to Drake, who Ak believes has been targeted over the years.

During a recent livestream, Ak began piecing together the alleged ties between Roc Nation and the lawsuits against Drake and Stake through a company that provided the plaintiffs a supposed forgivable loan. He explained that Insight Partners, Fanatics, and Roc Nation have some sort of dealings with a company called Poleg LLC, the company providing the forgivable loans to the plaintiffs suing Drake and Stake.

Akademiks Lawsuit Dismissed

What Akademiks evidently had an issue with is some of the reporting surrounding these lawsuits, especially since they named himself in it alongside Adin Ross. But since they’re not dismissed, Ak has made it clear that the reporting never received a proper follow-up.

“Just reposting this on the timeline if yall missed my stream. Loren lorosa mark Lamont hill .. don’t let me out journalist yall… I expect. Yall to do ur due diligence … or not. Rob Markman u still a journalist or just a Drake hater?” he captioned a clip from his recent stream.

Akademiks ultimately argued that these claims lacked merit in court and that’s why they got tossed. However, his issue seems to be the lack of fair reporting from the same people who helped break the stories in the first place.

We will keep you on any further updates on matter, including any further responses from Akademiks, Mark Lamony Hill, Loren Larosa, or Rob Markman. Check out the clip above and share your thoughts in the comments below.
