  • Ray J Feat. Lil Wayne "Brown Sugar" Video
Ray J Feat. Lil Wayne "Brown Sugar" Video
The last time Ray J really broke through with a single was "I Hit It First," which, while being admittedly catchy, was more tied to the absurd concept than the song itself. The RnB singer is ready to do it right with "Brown Sugar," a hooky new number with a surprisingly great melodic turn from Wayne, who brings it back to his post-Carter 3 experiments with singing. Both Ray J and Wayne rock some unconventional headgear throughout the clip, but when you're surrounded by beautiful women and waterfalls, you can pull pretty much anything off.

Chedda Da Connect's "Flicka Da Wrist" has been inescapable over the last few months, with the record soundtracking both Vine and the club, with plenty of big names getting involved in the phenomenon. We talked to Chedda about the "Wrist" sensation, and he gave us a pretty in-depth explanation of how it all took off. Later on, he let us know a couple of the people he most surprised to see take part in the trend, which included Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne (the latter someone Chedda has always had the utmost respect for).

Lil Wayne & Ja Rule Discuss Their Favorite Prison Snacks
All the way back in 2007, after performing a show together in NYC, Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were both arrested on guns and drug charges. Wayne began his sentence almost two years later, serving eight months, while Ja didn't go away until June 2011, doing 23 months and getting out in May 2013.  Both rappers spent time in Rikers Island in New York and, looking back, they were able to share a laugh about their mutual experiences-- well, about the food, at least.

Lil Wayne Dodges Question About Young Thug Beef
While he's yet to use his name, Lil Wayne hasn't been shy about expressing his disapproval for Young Thug-- something we can assume is rooted in the rapper's choice to call his last mixtape Carter 6 (now Barter 6). However, when he was approached by TMZ outside of Avalon Hollywood last night, he had a smug, unrelated response for the reporter.

Lil Wayne & Papi Rap "HYFR" On ESPN
Over the past few months, ESPN's "Highly Questionable" program has hosted entertaining interviews with the likes of Action Bronson and Rich Homie Quan, both of which had a humorous tone while still answering some hard-hitting questions, like whether RHQ's boating story was actually true. Lil Wayne was on the show yesterday, and presumably sat in for an interview, but before we get to see that, here's a clip of him and co-host Papi rapping part of his and Drake's "HYFR" together.

Lil Wayne: "Ain't No Such Thing As 'Carter 6'"
It seems like every week in 2015, Lil Wayne's dropping another diss. Kicking off the year naysaying Birdman and Cash Money at nearly every opportunity he got, Wayne has since turned his attention to Young Thug, who released Barter 6 last week. Weezy's most recent instance of throwing Thugger under the bus came last night, when he spoke out against the ATLien's recent project:

DeJ Loaf "Me U & Hennessy" Video
The subject matter of most of Dej Loaf's songs belie her mild-mannered, soft-spoken persona. She may sound meek, but she's rapping and singing about catching bodies and turning down major label deals. "Me U & Hennessy," taken from last year's excellent Sell Sole tape, is the exception.

Lil Wayne Says "Fuck Cash Money" During A Concert
It's old news at this point, but Lil Wayne's feud with Cash Money and Birdman continues. Last night, the New Orleans rapper addressed a crowd between songs, and after reminding them of his two upcoming projects, Free Weezy Album and Tha Carter V, he finished with "Fuck Cash Money!" He was met with a cheer from the audience, and at least one person echoed his words.
