A label rep says the Atlanta rapper will recover from Tuesday's shooting.

Up-and-coming Atlanta MC Waka Flocka Flame was shot Tuesday (January 19) in his hometown, according to Fulton County Police.

Flocka (real name: Juaquin Malphurs) suffered a gunshot wound to the arm as he was stopped at a carwash on National Highway. He was rushed to nearby Grady Hospital. A spokesperson for his record company said Flame will be fine.

Kanye West is looking to make 2011 a year to remember. Alongside his joint album with Jay-Z, titled 'Watch the Throne,' 'Ye will drop another solo release this summer.



West announced the news via his favorite method of communication: Twitter. "I'll be back this SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!" he wrote on Sunday (Jan. 23). "WATCH THE THRONE COMING IN 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!! MY NEW ALBUM COMING THIS SUMMER."

A few days ago, Epilepsy Action, a awareness organisation, contacted Youtube and asked them to take down the new music video for Kanye West’s ‘All of The Lights‘. According to them, there is so much flashing imagery in the clip that it could cause seizures among Epilepsy sufferers. Since there are no broadcasting regulations regarding flashing imagery online, officials at Epilepsy Action demanded that the clip be taken off Youtube especially when it doesn’t contain a warning at the start.

According to multiple overseas sources, Lil Wayne must cancel upcoming shows in Europe and the United Kingdom after he was denied a visa due to a recent firearms conviction.



While currently touring the U.S. on his I Am Still Music trek, Weezy was set to embark overseas for a smattering of dates and summer festivals to coincide with the release of his ninth studio album, 'Tha Carter IV,' in May.

Young Jeezy doesn't have a confirmed release date for his new album, 'TM103,' but his mixtape does. The Atlanta trap rap star has reunited with DJ Drama for a new mixtape called 'The Real Is Back,' due out tomorrow (May 28) at 1:03PM.



The mixtape will serve as an appetizer for Jeezy's long-delayed fourth album, which is now scheduled to hit stores sometime this summer, according to the Snowman. Although July 26 had been reported to be the album's proper release date, Def Jam representatives shot down those assertions.

Jay-Z's manager is confident that Hov and Kanye's record won't suffer the same fate as so many others.



Despite the fact that virtually no album goes un-leaked these days, one manager believes that his camp has discovered a way to keep one of the most highly-anticipated Hip Hop albums from getting to the masses ahead of time.



John Meneilly, Jay-Z's manager, believes that Jay and Kanye West's album, Watch The Throne, is on lock down. “It is not going to leak,” tweeted Meneilly.

Ricky Rozay's associates discuss how he's holding up after suffering from two seizures.



In the wake of suffering two seizures in one day, Rick Ross is taking a break to recover. Meanwhile, his associates Pill and DJ Khaled are speaking on the health scare, explaining that his diligent work ethic is most likely what caused his health to fail.

While on 106 & Park Rick Ross revealed the cause of his seizures, having suffered two seizures in one day in the past month. He says that originally he didn't think his seizures were that serious.

Starting November 21st, Billboard will have a new policy for artists to make the charts, based on criticisim by critics and artists alike of it's current policies. For example, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" debuted at number one, but was sold at a very discounted price. It's new policies are as follows:

-Albums priced below $3.49 will not be eligible on the Billboard album charts during their first four weeks of release and will not count towards sales data presented by Nielsen SoundScan.

Big Sean spoke to MTV on the sets of his ‘Slight Work’ video shoot and gave an update on the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album. Sean says the crew is flying to London to finish the album which is almost done and should be out in Spring, 2012. His sophomore album is coming later in the Summer. And before everything else, he will be releasing his F.F.O.E.

 One of Kid Cudi's more devout fans was suffering from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and recently passed away. The fan, Ben Breedlove, had posted a video on youtube before his death, saying that during a bout with the disease he had visions of being with Cudi. Ben passed away on Christmas day, and Cudi expressed his sadness over his tumblr, saying,

According to reports, 28 employees have been laid off from Jay-Z's Rocawear offices in New York City. That number equals half of the total staff in Rocawear's Manhattan office. The layoffs reportedly took place on January 6 and were due to "economic" problems.
