After carefully building up his fanbase and his buzz, Post Malone dropped off his highly anticipated mixtape August 26 back in May. The title had many fans guessing as to what August 26 might indicate-- the most obvious conclusion being an album release date, and it's looking like that's the case.
Post was on the air with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio this afternoon, where he spoke on his love for acoustic guitar and hip-hop. It's only at the end of the interview where he divulges some information about his debut album.
"We have an album coming out in August, a lot of cool shit on there," he tells Zane Lowe. "I think it's gunna be called Stoney. Stoney Maloney, that's my old nickname, so it's like cash. We're just rocking, we're figuring out the whole flow of everything and putting the tracks together in a cohesive manner."
When asked about any special appearance, Post names "JB" aka Justin Bieber. "That's how the tour started, we got into the studio and started working," Post says of connecting with the Biebz. The song the two collaborate on is titled "Deja Vu."
