There's a lot of stuff to be expected from the A$AP Mob this year. Of course, there's Rocky's album to expect, a new project from A$AP Ferg, and the rest of the Mob seem to be putting in work as well. However, one person that's been relatively silent for the most part is Playboi Carti. After dropping his self-titled debut album, he and Lil Uzi Very had plans to release a new project. While speak on the collaborative effort has been mum, it looks like Carti's been simultaneously working on his album.
Photographer Gunner Stahl took to Instagram earlier today to share a candid photo of A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti. We haven't seen Carti around much lately but it could only be assumed that he's been locked in the studio. One of Stahl's followers commented, "I thought this n*gga carti was dead." Stahl deaded that real quick and confirmed that Carti's album is coming "soon af." When exactly that'll be isn't entirely clear but, it hasn't even been a year since he dropped his debut project.
Aside from Stahl's IG comment, Pi'erre Bourne recently gave us an update on the project. Earlier this month, he tweeted out, "Working on carti album tonight this shit so fye bruh." While it's a vague update, he delivered with his debut mixtape. We'll see what he executes on his album.
